System Requirements
For usage of the voice-conferencing functionality, we recommend a DSL-Internet connection. Also, for ‘speedy’ downloads of the video-clips a fast connection is recommended, although not a must since Goviso caches the videos. Once downloaded, the bandwidth requirements are minimal.
Please note: Depending on resolution and frame-rate of the Goviso footage the performance of the video playback may vary. For high resolutions your computer may not play back clips in real-time.
Network & Firewall
Goviso uses specific ports for live communication between users such as voice conferencing, video conferencing, and live shared playback control. A highly secured firewall may not allow communication traffic to pass.

Hardware
Any modern PC, Mac, or Linux machine capable of running a contemporary web browser such as FireFox 2+, Internet Explorer 7+, or Safari 3+, with Flash Player 9 or higher installed, will be able to run Goviso. For hi-res or high-quality video files, more powerful video cards (or on-board video) will improve playback quality and performance.
In order to fully utilize the conferencing capabilities of Goviso a headset with microphone is required for voice conferencing, and a webcam is required for video conferencing. However these are not strict requirements to use the other features of Goviso, and the software can still be used in cases where conferencing is not necessary or possible.
